I doubt you would've got into ABM, as May '08 was when some idiot teenagers decided to set fire to the machine shops on the 3rd floor. After that it was sealed up tight... Although the rubble piled up against the ground floor doors made it very easy to get into the 1st floor instead! Now, everything has been bricked up properly though.

It's a shame, since prior to the arson attack the place was wonderful to spend a leisurely afternoon exploring - I have photos that just could not be reproduced now, due to the damage... Back then, it was almost understood that people liked to explore the place and it was tolerated, but now it is under close watch.

I had a quick look at ABM on the same day but gave up quickly as I was under a time constraint so I went over to Fisher's which was wide open. It's a shame that it's all gone, I wish I'd made more time to get a good look around the place, I didn't even make it half-way across the main courtyard area or inside any of the warehouses.

Fisher's was always a sunday afternoon favourite of mine... Walk in access and a great variety of junked machinery on open ground, as well as the buildings and silos themselves. I have very fond memories, and quite a few photos, on top off and inside the silos themselves as well as up the gantry staircase and on the various floor levels inside the main factory.

However, Fisher's is no more - it was completely flattened by G.B.M. Demolition earlier this year, using gas axes to carve up the girder based buildings, and a giant excavator fitted with a ripping claw to literally tear down the silos. Although I was lucky enough to get official access during the destruction and as a result got some quite nice and unique shots as it was being taken apart.

I am now waiting to see what becomes of ABM, as there is a chance I will be authorized to officially document that one also...
